Dear all,

We would like to extend an invite to a number of workshops we will be hosting at Gdynia Maritime University on Wednesday 8th May, room A14.

Applying for jobs, particularly graduate training programmes, can often be complicated and unclear. These workshops are designed to provide key advice and guidelines for when applying for jobs as new graduates. The guidelines are designed based on Babcock’s currently graduate application requirements, which are aligned with the graduate job market.

Workshops available:

• 10:00-10:15 Introduction
• This will be an information session, to introduce ourselves and Babcock.
• 10:15-11:00 CV and Cover Letter
• This is an interactive session where we will review and practice skills for writing CVs and Cover Letters.
• 11:00-12:00 Interview Preparation
• This is an interactive session where we will discuss expectations for interviews, and practice how to prepare.
• 12:00-12:30 Assessment Centre Overview
• This is an information session where we will discuss what an Assessment Centre is, and what to expect on the day.
• 12:30-13:00 Graduate Q&A
• This is an opportunity to meet one of our UK Graduates and ask them questions about their experience on a Babcock Graduate Scheme.

Babcock is an international engineering and defence company. We are currently growing our presence in Poland, primarily through support to the MIECZNIK programme. This year we will be launching the Babcock Polska Graduate Scheme. This is a graduate training programme, for which we are looking to recruit engineering students (due to complete their studies this summer). Over the two-year training programme, graduates will complete four placements roles, providing them with a variety of experience in different roles across Babcock. The placements could cover areas such as Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Advanced Manufacturing, Project Management, Business Growth and Strategy and many more.

These workshops are designed to provide key guidance that will help when applying for roles such as the Babcock Polska Graduate Scheme.

Whilst this workshop will be held in English, we would encourage you to attend even if you don’t feel your English language ability is very strong. This is a great opportunity to hear from industry professionals and challenge your language abilities.
